I tend to favor subtlety over brute force. I am very engaged in Brazilian Jui Jitsu after practicing different forms of stand up martial arts for years. I am mostly interested in playing the physical form of chess, aware of my body's limitation and the well being of my opponent. I am not sure what will be next in my exploration but I am open.
About Me:
I am very intrigued with mastery on many levels. I have always been driven to understand the most critical thread of each challenge. I strive for economy of motion and to view things before they are about to happen. I often train with eyes closed or with an unfocused gaze to reduce the distraction in the heat of battle.
Where do you train now
Tim Burrill Brazilian Jui Jitsu. I am someone that relies heavily on mentors. Tim is unique in that he is not afraid to lose and in fact puts himself in challenging situation just to see what might happen. Ego plays such a large part in the actions of most instructors, the challenge is not to let it limit ones ability to learn. Tim is a fantastic instructor that willingly gives away his best information.
